AneScan's Leadership

James Morrissey

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Morrissey brings over twenty-five years of experience in the medical device industry. His background is focused on anesthesia safety, monitoring, information systems, EMRs and interventional devices for surgical applications. He began his career with J&J’s Critikon division and the Valleylab division of Pfizer. He was a founder of Electroscope, Inc. and helped guide it through a successful IPO. He assisted early-stage Novacept, Inc. while it grew its revenues from zero to $78 million in three years. On the strength of its market growth, Novacept was sold to Cytyc, Inc. Most recently, while working with Safer Sleep, which is a developer of AIMS, he recognized a growing need for an affordably-priced system that has all of the capabilities of the AneScan system. Morrissey received his BBA in Marketing and Finance from Belmont University.
